Thutmose: Hello.
Reporter Rob: Thutmose, today we will be interviewing you about your responsibilities and daily life as an ancient Egyptian noble.
Thutmose: Okay.
Reporter Rob: First, what type of house do you live in?
Thutmose: I live in a townhouse in a pleasant neighborhood.
Reporter Rob: What do you wear each day?
Thutmose: On a typical day, I wear a fine linen kilt and leather sandals.
Reporter Rob: Do you have servants?
Thutmose: Yes, I have many servants. They help me get dressed and they help clean the house.
Reporter Rob: Are you married?
Hamen-Ka: Yes, my wife is Nefertari.
Reporter Rob: What do you eat?
Thutmose: For breakfast we have fruit and bread. For dinner we eat geese and ducks, fish, ox, goat, gazelle, grapes, melons, figs, dates, pistachio nuts, and pomegranate.
Reporter Rob: What do you do for work?
Thutmose: I own an estate. I must meet with my estate overseer daily to get figures on livestock and expectations for the harvest. Slaves do the work on the estate.

Thutmose: Some of the activities I do for fun are napping, hunting, and throwing parties.
